		<description>This tree is used to re-condition degenerated soil in Taveuni, Fiji.
After establishment, crops such as kava and taro (dasheen) can be planted after two or three year fallow with dapdap, known locally as "drala" tree.</description>

There are 2 kinds of Dadap (or dapdap) in Bali: 1 with thorns (above) and one without. Last also has rather green, than brown bark. I don't think it is good idea to destroy native forest - with many beautiful and interesting tree species - and plant banana, coconut, chocolate and dadap only.. Sadly, this is what many Balinese do in mountains.. Earlier, they used to respect Nature much more..</description>
